(EN) Sporty. You know one of those days when you don´t feel like wear absolutely nothing (it isn´t like nothing, well, you get what I meant!)? For me is ahead a full week of that I guess. A rainy and cold weather just makes me want to wear cozy sweaters and sneakers. But don´t expect to see me in sweat pants or things like that. I like this trend sparingly, sneakers combined with an overcoat or even a beanie paired with heels. In this case, I think that opposites get pretty well. What do you guys think?
(EN) Care. Today I thought of bring you some products that however I try something else I always come back to these. Coincidentally they are all from Sephora so I decided to join my top 3 favorite products ever on today´s post. The first product that always comes with me is the eye makeup remover. This one has the particularity to remove waterproof makeup. For me its greatest quality is that remove entirely the mascara! The second product it is a cleansing milk. Let me tell you, this milk helps me control the oiliness of my skin leaving it refreshed and with a very pleasant smell. Finally, a product that, due to its size, I always carry with me: the dry shampoo. It's perfect for those days between washes to remove oiliness. Just spray on the root and problem solved.
Share with me: do you use some Sephora product? Do you have any recommendations?
(EN) Fun. Fashion doesn´t have to be serious. For seriousness, life is more than enough and I like to take things not so seriously, most of the time. Despite having a very clean style, I like to play with it, bring something interesting to my looks, something that differentiates from all the rest. And this is where the camo comes. So simple yet so unique. Just wait for the pants I want to show you on Friday!
(EN) Girly. I know it is not time to think about flowers but what do you want it is stronger than me! Just think about beautiful floral clothes, just do that. And with this heatwave I am wearing them a lot. So, I leave you this week with some floral inspiration.
(EN) Pearls. Remember that Monday I talked to you about my beloved pearls? This is how I like to incorporate them in my looks in a subtle way that makes all the difference. I know that this post came a little late but these last three days have been hellish. Tomorrow I will move to another house for my last year internship, I am all cray cray with the many things I have to bring with me (not jk!). This time I am going to Coimbra, yei! Wish me luck in this new stage of my life!
That said, these days I preferred to wear comfortable outfits as I had many errands to do and it is clear that the black had to be strongly present.
(EN) Perfect. Today is Wednesday, so who is an assiduous follower here knows that is beauty day! And those who don´t follow the blog and want to be part of it follow me, you won´t regret. But today I bring you a product that since the first use that stole the role from any other foundation I own. This is the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation (give me Rimmel!). What they claim: "A match so perfect, it's undetectable in any light! Light Perfecting radiance foundation. Traceless coverage and perfectly flawless skin under any light Lasts all day. SPF 18". They promise a lot, uh? In my experience I tell you they fulfill the promises. It's a fluid and light foundation, great for everyday but can easily be built. The smell is a big bonus, has one of the nicest smells. Altogether there are 8 shades from lighter shades to darker shades. I chose two shades that I show in the picture, Light Nude (102) and Soft Beige (200). For my perfect color I like to mix these two. A little note about the price: I paid 4.99 euros for it in Clarel but I've seen at other stores close to 15 euros.
Verdict: This foundation exceeded completely my expectations. It is now part of my day routine. My only advise for anyone who has a combination/oily skin like mine is to apply a matte powder to eliminate excess shine. Would I buy it again? Of course, I am already thinking about buying backups!
(EN) Delicate. I admit that since I was a little girl that I love pearls. Perhaps due to the influence of my mother, she wore the most beautiful pearl necklaces I've ever seen. They are the perfect accessory for a minimalistic style, with a few simple earrings or rings, or for a more fun look, with a statement necklace. Love it! And I don´t know why, during the colder weather I like to wear them more than any other type of jewelry, they are the perfect piece for my minimalistic outfits. So this week I leave you with some beautiful inspirations of how to wear pearls.
Lolita. Maybe you´ll be surprised by this kind of post, but truth be told, I always felt a little attracted to Japanese culture more specifically with fashion, well, this is a fashion blog. The "Lolita" style is for me one of the most peculiar and this is what I bring to you today. I know it isn´t everyone´s cup of tea, but fashion isn´t only what we see on the big brands and ready-to-wear stores, fashion also comes from another cultures that we may not know well.
To give you a little more about this culture, I joined with Tidebuy, an online store that sells Lolita dresses at affordable prices and with good quality. With a wide variety of dresses of this style that you will surely like. From Gothic Lolita dresses, white Lolita dresses, pink Lolita dresses, classic Lolita dresses, I think you get the idea. As I said, for all tastes. To get a better sense of what I'm talking about, I leave you with a selection of Tidebuy Lolita dresses I liked the most and don´t forget to enter the links to see a description of each dress in more detail.
(EN) Cold. The weather is really changing. I don´t know if I'm ready for it. Just last week I was paying some visits (although short ones) to the beach and this week I already wrap in warm sweaters. But we have to see the positive side: the sweaters are beautiful so what is there left to do is enjoy it while it is just cold and we don´t have to walk with our umbrellas and warm coats. Let's enjoy this fall to dig up all those cute and comfortable sweaters and though we don´t like to admit it, we had already missed wear them.
(EN) Choice. You don´t know how happy I was when I discovered this online store: www.tidebuy.com. Just look at the pieces I show in here, completely me! Well, the link I have here today is the link for an online store that sells clothing and accessories with a wide variety of choice. And I tell you that I was completely crazy when I saw that the size of the pieces is not one size, there are various sizes and in addition they help you choose the right one with measurements. Perfect, isn´t it? Another aspect that you doesn´t have to worry about is shipping. They ship worldwide and it isn´t too expensive. Another aspect that I like a lot is the fact that they accept returns. Pretend you receive the item at home and it doesn´t fit or even you don´t like it. It doesn´t matter, don´t take off the tags and contact the Customer Service.
The more time I spend wandering the site more will I have to buy everything. Believe that I will soon place an order and I assure you it will be a big one!
Maxi. I don´t know why I didn´t show you this dress before. Not only is my favorite dress ever as it suits any situation, literally. I wore it more often than I want to admit. So, today I show you a perfect option for this transition weather (it isn´t Summer, it isn´t Autumn, baaaah!) a perfect look and super comfortable for a trip to the mall or a coffee with friends. And of course, I had to include my favorite boots ever!
(EN) Special. If there's one thing I like is to feel special in all my outfits. But I confess that in special occasions I like to feel that little extra. A stunning dress, different, one that tells a story. That's what I am looking for, leave a statement on the party with our personal style, because let's be truthful, it´s time to take (selfiessssss!) lots of photographs, so the memory of our dress is an important thing. Who doesn´t like to feel more special once in a while, even for just a few hours? I love it! So I was super happy when I got to know this online store: www.avivadress.co.uk. It is the answer to all my problems of finding the perfect dress for the occasion in question! Believe me, there are dresses to suit all tastes and pockets.
Starting at the beginning: you should be questioning, but after all what is it? An online store? If you thought it that´s correct. They are an online store specializing in wedding, prom and evening dresses. Almost every day great deals appears on the site so I assure you that for sure you will adore and fall in love with one (or more) dress with a very tempting and friend of any pocket, especially when there is the offer of free shipping when you spend a certain value on items at the online store. And let's look at the dresses: just look at some of the styles that are sold, from formal dresses to beautiful wedding dresses and let me tell you, completely body friendly, long prom dresses, evening dresses and cocktail dresses. No matter what body type you have because here you won´t have any problem choosing one that fits perfectly in both of your body and style. Problems with the colors don´t exist (only with choosing, so many options! Not JK!), since they have the classic black, white, to baby blue and mint you´ll certainly find the right color for that special event you want to go perfect. And if you are a bride, please, please make a visit to the part of the wedding dresses, I tell you, I wish I was a bride just to wear one of these, believe me. Are you not a bride? But you have to go to a wedding? So don´t despair, here you could find that formal dress to make that one frenemy jealous! And to my younger readers: need the perfect prom dress to leave your crush breathless? Then see the section of prom dresses and if you want my opinion, see the long dresses for a more sophisticated look.
So: SAY YES TO THE DRESS!
Source: We Heart It
Rain. When last week I told you that I love autumn, was certainly not talking about the part when it rains cats and dogs. I don´t miss my frizzy hair, the wet clothes and neither the messy makeup. But there is one thing I was missing: boots! They are my best friends and I currently own over 15 pairs (upssssssss). And I am such a good friend that I leave you some inspirations to brighten your day!
Light. This week I took advantage of the last sunny days (when I'm on vacation) to use and abuse the light fabrics and colors. What seems like a simple gray skirt is indeed a beautiful strap dress (and it only cost me 2 euros!!) and I decided to put a baby blue top over to create more texture to the look. A super casual and basic outfit upgraded with the right accessories.
PS- I am loving wearing dresses with sneakers and cute socks!
Setting. After talking about and a primer and a foundation, makes all the logic talk about pressed powder, more properly the one who´s in everyone’s mouths: Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. After applying the foundation and the concealor, it is necessary to setting them to increase their durability. This is where the pressed powders appear. This claims reducing the appearance of pores and to ensure a matte finish to the skin throughout the day. Despite being a great pressed powder, it doesn´t last all day but it has a nice size to put in the purse and touch up when needed. I love this product, it has become a holy grail for me. Not only helps removing the oiliness that I have in abundance in my T-zone as it helps my foundation to stick in place during the day. If you have oily skin this is a product you will want. If perhaps you have dry skin it will dry out the skin even more.
The verdict: worth the hype? Totally!
Details. I think a good manicure makes all the difference in the beauty of a woman. What´s the point of being well dressed if we skip these little things? Even only with a good nude, nails have to be well done. During these holidays, maybe because I can´t have my nails with any nail polish during my internship (future Nurse and the last horrifying year), I preferred the nail art instead of a simple nail polish. Attention, nothing too extravagant to avoid looking ridiculous, but simple things like these that I show you today.
Tell me, how do you prefer your nails?
Autumn. I can´t believe fall is just around the corner. It seems like yesterday that I began my holydays. But the fact is that I already see leaves on the floor and a cold that already asks for sweaters. Not that I'm complaining, this is probably my favorite time of the year! As I said on Monday, I'm going through a phase where I just want to wear sneakers. And these are, for the moment, my favorite. They are so unique and able to transform a simple and casual look into something more interesting. And let me say this: how cool are these sunglasses???
Primer. As you know (or should know) before applying any makeup and after moisturizing your skin you should apply a primer. If you don´t know what I'm talking about, a primer is a kind of cream that is applied before the foundation and helps to "smooth" the skin, eliminating the appearance of pores, which helps in the proper application of the foundation.
Today I´ll talk about a primer that is what I like to call "magic in a tube" because it really is. Not only has the most wonderful smell in the world, something between coconut and caramel, as it does its job more than well. As you can see by the photograph it has some color but blends with the skin quite well. I advise this manly for who have oily to combination skin, helps a lot to hide unwanted oiliness. The only downside to this product is the price, but I promise you it´s worth it. I bought the smaller tube (7.5 ml) as I didn´t want to give too much money for a product that I might not like but I tell you as soon as I tried I run to buy the bigger tube!
Verdict: It's the best primer I have ever tried. It´s everything that I ask for a primer. Would I buy it again? YES! YES! YES!
Comfy. Lately if there is anything I haven´t given up is comfort in the feet. Strange to say that I prefer a good pair of sneakers instead of killer heels as about 1 year ago I just wore high heels, I didn´t even own sneakers (not joking). Knowing how to build different styles and not to fall into the trap of too much sporty, this is a trend that I hope will stay for many seasons because I don´t know if I can get used to heels again! So, I leave you with some inspirations of the models that I like the most.
Play. I was having a huge desire to buy a playsuit but the truth is I couldn´t find any that I really liked or one that fits me. Lately I've noticed that most stores don´t make clothes for curvy girls, but for the skinny (without literally no boobs and no butt) that fashion created. Maybe I'll touch a sensitive spot but it has to be said and I hope someday to actually change some minds. In the world there aren´t only (too) skinny women, in fact, most women have (beautiful) curves. But unfortunately, with the clothing that is sold becomes almost impossible to show curves with pride. That said I have had extreme difficulty in finding a playsuit for me. Tired of searching, I decided to play with an old dress and make him a playsuit. And the result is here, a perfect one for my body. Oh, remember when I told you about the only hat that fits in my little head? Here it is in all its gorgeousness!
(EN) Foundation. Today I will talk about my everyday makeup basic: foundation. With light or full coverage, I can no longer leave the house without it. Even if I don´t have time for full makeup, I don´t pass foundation, mascara, and lipgloss, it always gives me a fresh face, especially in the morning. When I started to see some reviews on this Rimmel foundation I was amazed, it looked like a miracle product! So I decided to buy, try it and share my opinion with you.
(PT) Base.
Holy shade. One of the biggest disadvantages of having a small head (but perfectly proportioned) is not finding hats that fit me. Each time I try and fall in love with one, is truly disappointing, not only they are massively huge, but I can completely bury my all head in them. I know what you are thinking: customize hats. But girls, let's be honest, they are crazy expensive and you know that my blog envolves the incessant search for cheaper stuff (without compromising style, of course). At this moment I have a few hats in my possession, but honestly only one is the perfect size. And let me tell you, he was my best friend at the weekend because, as I told you, my skin is extremely sensitive so I have to protect it. It is the perfect accessory for all year, whether for the rain or the intense sun. So I'll leave you with some homework: if you know any store, online or not, that sells hats in small sizes, just let me know in the comments!
Casual. Apparently I didn´t publish a look for months (upsssss, bad blogger)! But now that I have my life organized I can finally devote some extra time to this space that has brought me so much joy, new friendships, experiences and above all a lot of fun! Therefore and continuing the last inspiration post, I present you my beautiful black shorts that I have been wearing to dead (not joking!).
Simple looks are always my favorite ones, so those who don´t know me (yet) must learn that I don´t wear elaborate looks, I love my basics. My upgrade to simple outfits is to highlight the accessories, in other words, wear unique pieces that make a statement, as the case of the earring I'm wearing or the sandals. So, find ways to make your outfit interesting.
Trying. In order to continue my beauty/beauty products posts, today I bring you some of the products I want to buy (really) soon. Lately I have devoted some time to look for more information on makeup and consequently I have been following several beauty vloggers on youtube, mostly to find out what are the best products out there, new makeup techniques and many other things. Well, coming to the main point, I wanted to create a simple makeup routine for everyday but one that I could easily adapt for a night look. In short, I am learning a lot and have already managed to acquire a beauty routine. So, I still have many products I want to buy, from cheap brands to luxury ones. Today I am going to show you the cheapest options I want to get. If you already have any of these let me know what you think!
1. Naked Basics. Urban Decay / 2. Volum'Express The Falsies. Maybelline / 3. Casting Sunkiss Jelly. L'Oreal / 4. Colorburst Matte Balm. Revlon.
Fresh. With the beginning of August and the tremendous heat that has been on the past few days, I have a huge problem with building fresh good looking looks. I came across that the best solution would be shorts, mainly those cut loose and in neutral colors. Despite not having a wide variety of them, those who I already have allow me to create outfits for different occasions. I promise that this week I show you an outfit with my latest purchase, some beautiful black shorts! Until then I leave you with some beautiful inspirations for this hot August month.
Skin. First of all, today is the day for a new label on the blog. That's right, I'll start posting about beauty, specifically my beauty routines, my favorite products, new products that promise wonders, some review's if you want, but mostly some tricks and skin care that I acquired over time with different experiences. I warn you that everything I´ll talk here works with my skin but it may not work so well with yours. So try different products until you find the perfect balance for your skin!
So with that said, I find appropriate for summer and for my very first beauty post, a little talk about my skin care routine for a day on the beach. Starting with my skin type: besides having the misfortune to have an extremely dry skin, I also have a sensitive one (genetics, thank you). So the ideal for me is to moisturize and protect the most. So, what I do before leaving the house to go to the beach is first applying a moisturizer all over my body. I'm currently using (and abusing) the "Purely Pampering" with coconut milk and jasmine petals for dry skin from Dove. I bought this product on sale at a drugstore and since then I haven´t used anything else, besides moisturize my skin quite well, also leaves a pleasant scent. Makes you want to lick all your skin (ok, joking!). After leaving it dry (and act), the essential step: sunscreen. After several failed attempts, I finally found one suitable for my skin (Yei me!), the "Sun Protection SPF 50+" for sensitive skin from Farline. Since I started using this sunscreen I never suffered from sunburns anymore (I also have a very light skin) and also helped with moisturizing my skin. Two words to describe it: LOVE IT! To replace my usual facial cream (which I'll talk on another post) I use "Hydrance Optimale Light Protective Hydrating Cream SPF 20" for sensitive skin from Avène. Of course that is not enough so I apply a light layer of my Farline sunscreen too. And I'm ready for a day on the sun with my protected skin! The best advices I can give you are finding out your skin type and suit the different products. Don´t purchase those that claim to be right for all skin types. Your skin is unique and deserve good care, never forget that.
Statement. I am one of those bloggers who think that a good pair of sunglasses makes all the difference on a look. It is a totally V.I.A (Very Important Accessory) that can make (almost) any outfit into something cool. I am also one of those who wears them all year regardless the weather. I admit that I can´t leave the house without my sunglasses, I can even dare to say that I feel naked without them!
Summer. Right now, I just want to wear kimonos. Basically, this summer, I intend to wear them with everything and for every occasion. Nothing delights me more lately than a kimono with a good cut and a fun pattern (although already have in my possession a classic black, of course). With this heat, I leave you with some inspiration for summer days and nights.
(EN) Tougher. And finally back. The last few weeks were completely chaotic, ok, I'm exaggerating a bit but they have been harsh. As I already told you, I started my nursing internship away from home. The stress of finding a house. Then I found one. But I had to move. And with the move the internship began. It was hard (I still have nightmares). Then began another one in a different city. Another moving, yei (not). The 2nd internship began. Less stress and more free time. And voila, here I am, full of energy to bring back to life this space that gives me so much joy!
Without further delay, let's get to what brought me here today. I'll tell you about attitude. Yes, attitude! Fashion is about the attitude that we can transmit through our clothes, don´t you think? To survive these last few weeks of hell I had be tougher and that was reflected on my outfits. A lot of black, leather jackets, dark lipstick, grunge boots (I think you already get it). So, I leave you with some inspiration for when you want to kick some ass!
Different. I told you I was trying to use a little more color and be bolder. And as I keep my promises, here it is. It´s something completely different from what I usually wear but let me say one thing: I felt great out of my comfort zone. So today I leave you with some advice that worked with me: get out of your comfort zone from time to time, try new trends, something that normally you wouldn´t wear. You´ll be surprise with the results, you´ll see.
Well, I´m giving a new opportunity to my heels. So far the relationship is going well.
New. I´ve decided to give an opportunity to colors. Yes, colors. But slowly, a colorful accessory here, a colorful top there. Nothing too fancy, because black is, and always will be, my "color". And to celebrate new beginnings, today I launch a new layout, more minimalist and mostly more me. Hope you like it, because I love it!
To trend or not to trend. Truth to be told, when I began to see that the historical Birkenstock had come to stay, I was reluctant. If there were shoes that I hated were these ones. But as time went by and they started to appear in runways with alternative models, I give up on hating them. Fashion exists for having fun (or so I think), to take risks and reinvent our personal style. Said that, I am completely surrendered to Birkenstock and I'm already thinking of buying more models for the summer.
(EN) Dresses. And the heat has finally arrived! All I can dream of are beautiful dresses and bared legs. Definitely have to take a day to do some shopping and update my (wide) wardrobe.
I leave you with some great options from online store Dressale that never disappoints me with its magnificent pieces.
Nostalgia. I haven´t moved yet and nostalgia already hit me. Since 3 years ago I spend very little time at my real home. I moved to Aveiro to attend the University there, but weekends were way too short to spend quality time. But in the next two months I will move to another house in another town. Although I am excited about this change, this will bring many more responsibilities. Now, I just hope this new chapter in my life will bring positive experiences!
So today I decided to take some photographs in my home, since the weather today didn´t help much. I´m seriously trying to use lighter colors to get completely accustomed for summer (sorry, but I just can´t wear a lot of black in the summer). And finally had the opportunity to show you my all time favorite necklace! And I loved his price: 2.99 euros!
Sun. Despite the cold I can finally see the sun (and leave home without getting wet). After spending a quite painful morning in my beautician (I hate this time of the month, grrrrr!), I decided to enjoy the wonderful sun despite the cold. But nothing that a visit to a wonderful bar didn´t solve.
Gone are the days that I wore high heels every day. And today I reminded why I left them aside (temporarily, of course). The shoes that I once claimed to be the most comfortable of my collection, yes I´ve got to the point of calling the amount of shoes that I own, collection, hurt me like hell and didn´t spend 5 minutes without verbalizing my great distress. And they aren´t even my highest heels! I spent the rest of the day debating with myself: did I lose the strength to wear high heels? Well, I hope not because I'm with a huge desire to wear them again!
Pure love. Summer hasn´t started yet and I'm already looking for the perfect pair of shoes and, lucky me, Dressale has many options! I spent several hours drooling myself in the shoes section (you know that I have a "slight" obsession with shoes!) and managed to compile my favorites here. Curious? Then take a look on Dressale because not only the shoes are wonderful but the dresses are also to die for!
Born Pretty. This week I had a gift in my mailbox (yei!). And to my joy it was a gorgeous necklace and a beautiful ring from online store Born Pretty. I can tell you that this necklace was a hit among many people today! And I think it's safe to say that I found my favorite necklace! The ring is also beautiful, very simple and it will always look good with any outfit. I assure you that the online store is reliable and the products are of excellent quality. And wait! The prices are extremely appealing! So I recommend you to visit the online store Born Pretty and if you order something (let me warning you that it is impossible not to order anything!) introduce the code APMT10 to take advantage of a 10% discount!
Finally. And we have sun! I admit I was already craving for warmer weather. But I'm also honest; I'm still not mentally prepared to walk around just in tees and bare legs!
I am having an intense week filled with exams and things to do and tiredness already begins to overtake me. But today I took a little time to relax a bit and let me tell you that felt so good!
Tell me, how´s your week?
Tired. Today I had a terrible day, an exam in the morning and in the afternoon I had to study for another exam that I have on Wednesday (sad me). But promise is a promise so I prepared you a (huge) post about day 3 and final day of ModaLisboa Vision. Loved the fact that Nuno Gama´s fashion show was outside! I am in love with Pedro Pedro collection, I want everything!
What a day. Today I had an extremely busy day! In addition to having a few issues to deal with and a lot to organize because after all, Lisbon Fashion Week is already this week, today is my Mother's birthday. I love you Mom but the timing was awful this year. My luck was these short holidays because of the Carnival (hate it, but loooooove the holidays). So, today, more than anything, I needed a comfortable outfit for my errands but one that I could quickly adapt to a party. I told you that I've been thinking a lot on midi-skirts and here's the one I own (for now). For the party I made a quick change to black stilettos and a necklace.
Midi-skirt. Lately I´ve seen so many street styles that incorporated a midi-skirt and for those unaware: it´s a skirt below the knee and above the ankle. And I tell you that I love to see them paired with oversized sweaters and stilettos (oh my, black stilettos!). As simple as the look is a midi-skirt brings another life and strength to the outfit, don´t you think?
I'm so obsessed that this week I'm doing a DIY skirt of this type. I promise that when I end it I put some pics here and, if you want, I make a post dedicated to how I did it.
Love at first sight. It's no secret that I have a (huge) obsession with shoes. Big deal, all women have. I love window shopping for shoes. I love buying new shoes. I love the smell of new shoes. I love the feel of new shoes on my feet. I just love shoes. And when the most-perfect-shoes-on-earth look good and are comfortable (or close to comfortable, ups) it´s just love at first sight. Unfortunately for my bank account, I fall madly in love for a pair of shoes almost every week. Lately I've been paying more attention to flats and sneakers and just my luck they are one of the biggest trends!
Share with me, do you often fall in love with a pair of shoes?
Sorry. Wait, you´ll understand. This week I won´t stop posting new things here but I won´t post what I usually post, it will be shorter and simple posts. Why? I'll have a very busy week with essays for college and a few trips to Porto. And I have my Mother in the hospital. But don´t worry, next week I'll be here with all my heart and ready to challenge the fashion world!
For now I leave you with my latest obsession: earcuffs!
Be Mine. Never happened to you wanting a piece (clothing or shoes) and simply can´t find it in your size? Well, it happened to me with these sneakers. And no, they aren´t my size (unfortunately). I was looking for a pair of sneakers like these for so long but never managed to get them in my size. But that didn´t stop me from buying them even being a size larger than I normally use. Although they are clearly too big, I got a trick to keep them on my feet: some cotton inside the sneaker. With time, cotton adapts to the shape of the toes and therefore doesn´t hurt anything!
Tell me: Don´t you feel so frustrated when you want something so bad and can´t find it?
Rich. Last week I was confronted by a good question that has been in my mind: "to be well dressed you have to be rich!". And of course, I have an answer for this: Of course not!
I live with this premise and this was why I decided to start this blog: dressing nicely and spending the least amount of money possible. And I like to think that I´m doing pretty well in this challenge. Of course I have a few expensive pieces that aren´t for all pockets but in my defense they are pieces that will last me for a huge amount of seasons, a.k.a. overcoats. Sorry, this isn´t the case. This is, indeed, a beautiful vintage coat and I love it not only for being warm but mostly for being oversized (I have a hell of a crush for all that is oversized).
Now coming to the main point: my best advices to spend little and walk always immaculate.
1. Enjoy sales to the fullest to buy mainly the basic pieces like jeans, tees, shirts and sweaters. You must buy some shoes, or that more expensive piece that you laid your eyes for so long.
2. Visit vintage stores. Try to explore the best in your area.
3. Go take a look at your parents wardrobe, you will be overwhelmed with the treasures that are there waiting for you.
4. Buy online, prices are much more appealing!
But the best advice I can give you is: Be creative!
